Jahan na dard ho aisa dyar mangta tha,

Jo mangta tha wo dena meri bisaat na thi,
Wo meri rooh ka mujh se qarar mangta tha,

Usay talab thi koi toot kar usay chahay,
Wo hath jor kay ulfat ka izhaar mangta tha,

Mere khaloos pay shayad tha shak usay,
Wafa ki rah mein wo aitbaar mangta tha…
