بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

السلامُ علیکم و رحمۃ اللہ و برکاتہ

اپنا ماضی مت بھولئیے!

نہایت گہرے معانی لئے ایک پُر اثر قصہ

ایک تھی لڑکی،اندھی اور بصارت سے محروم، اپنے اندھے پن کی وجہ سے نا صرف اپنے آپ سے نفرت کرتی تھی

بلکہ اس دنیا اور اور دنیا کے ہر شخص سے بھی نفرت کرتی تھی۔

ہاں مگر ایک شخص تھا جس سے وہ پیار کرتی تھی اور وہ تھا اسکا محبوب دوست جو ہر وقت اس کے ساتھ رہتا تھا اور اسکے ہر دکھ سکھ کا خیال رکھتا تھا۔

لڑکی نے اُسے کہہ رکھا تھا کہ وہ جس دن اس دنیا کو اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھ لے گی اُسی دن اُس سے شادی کر لے گی۔

ایک دن کسی نے اپنی دونوں آنکھیں اُس لڑکی کو عطیہ کر دیں، اور جب آنکھیں لگا دینے کے بعد اُس کی آنکھوں سے پٹی اُتاری گئی تو،

وہ ساری دنیا کو دیکھ سکتی تھی بشمول اپنے محبوب دوست کے!

اُس کے دوست نے پوچھا، اب تو تم اپنی آنکھوں سے ساری دنیا کو دیکھ سکتی ہو، اب تو مجھ سے شادی کروگی ناں!

لڑکی نے اپنے دوست کو دیکھا، حیرت سے اُسے صدمہ لگا کہ اُسکا دوست تو اندھا تھا، غیر متوقع طور پر اسکے دوست کے چہرے پر خالی آنکھیں اُسکا منہ چِڑا رہی تھیں۔

وہ لڑکی جو حسرت کرتی تھی کہ آنکھیں ملیں گی تو اپنی ساری زندگی اسکے ساتھ بِتائے گی مگر۔۔۔۔ لڑکی نے شادی سے انکار کر دیا۔

لڑکا روتے ہوئے وہاں سے چلا گیا، کچھ دنوں کے بعد اُس نے لڑکی کو ایک رقعہ بھیجا کہ

اے میری دوست اپنی اِن آنکھوں کا بہت خیال رکھنا، کیوں کہ کچھ دن پہلے تک یہ میری آنکھیں تھیں۔

جی ہاں! اکثر اوقات انسانی ذہن اپنی ذرا سی حیثیت یا سٹیٹس تبدیل ہونے پر بالکل اسی طرح کیا کرتے ہیں۔

بہت ہی کم ایسے لوگ ہیں جو اپنی سابقہ حیثیت کو نہیں بھلاتے اور ہر حال میں یاد رکھتے ہیں کہ وہ کس قسم کے حالات سے گزر چکے ہیں۔

یاد رکھیئے! زندگی اللہ کی عطا کردہ نعمت اور تحفہ ہے۔

"آج کے بعد اپنی زبان سے کوئی ناشائستہ بات نکالنے سے قبل اُن لوگوں کے بارے میں ضرور سوچیئے گا جو بولنے سے محروم ہیں۔"

"کھانے کے ذائقہ پر اعتراض کرنے سے پہلے اُن کے بارے میں ضرور سوچیئے گا جن کو اس جیسا کھانا بھی میسر نہیں ہے۔"

"بعض تو اپنی زندگی پر ہی اعتراض کر جاتے ہیں، آئندہ اُنکے بارے میں ضرور سوچیئے گا جو تم سے پہلے آسمانوں کی طرف کوچ کر گئے۔"

"گاڑی چلاتے ہوئے مُسافت کی طوالت کا شکوہ کرنے سے پہلے اُن کے بارے میں ضرور سوچیئے گا جو یہ سفر پیدل کرتے رہے ہیں۔"

"اور جب کبھی اپنے کام سے تھکن یا بوریت کی شکایت ہو اُن لوگوں کا تصور ضرور ذہن میں لائیے گا جو بے روزگار ہیں اور اس جیسے کام کا محض تصور ہی کر سکتے ہیں ۔"

"اپنی بیوی یا خاوند کی شکایت کرنے سے پہلے ان کے بارے میں ضرور سوچیئے گا جو اللہ کے حضور اپنے اکیلے پن کی دوری کی فریاد کرتے ہیں ۔"

اور جب کبھی تم پر حد سے زیادہ یاسیت و قنوطیت چھا جائے تو اپنے چہرے پر یہ سوچ کر ایک مسکراہٹ لانے کی کوشش کیجیئے گا کہ

ابھی تم زندہ اور سلامت ہو اُن تمام نعمتوں کا شکر ادا کرنے کیلئے جو اللہ نے تمہیں نوازی ہیں۔

English Translation of Al-Quran

[11].Surah Hud (PBUH)

Ayat 29. "And O my people! I ask of you no wealth for it, my reward is from none but Allah. I am not going to drive away those who have believed. Surely, they are going to meet their Lord, but I see that you are a people that are ignorant.

Ayat 30. "And O my people! Who will help me against Allah, if I drove them away? Will you not then give a thought?

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ( [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Allah the Exalted and Majestic said: `Every act of the son of Adam is for him, except As-Siyam (the fasting) which is (exclusively) for Me, and I will reward him for it.' Fasting is a shield. When anyone of you is observing fast, he should neither indulge in obscene language nor should he raise his voice; and if anyone reviles him or tries to quarrel with him, he should say: `I am fasting.' By Him in Whose Hand the soul of Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH) is, the breath of one observing Saum is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk. The one who fasts, experiences two joys: he feels pleasure when he breaks the fast. He is joyful by virtue of his fast when he meets his Rubb.''

[Al-Bukhari Volume 3, Book 31, Number 128]

Lesson : "Khuluf'', is the smell that comes from the mouth of person who observes Saum. It results from the thirst and hunger which he has to suffer during the Saum. The Hadith not only tells us the merits of Saum but also brings into focus the true significance of it. Saum is not thus mere abstention from food, drink and sexual intercourse, but also keeping away from all evils and vices and embracing virtues.
